Artist's Comments

Who is he? More importantly, what is he doing? Is he a liberator? Or is he up to no good? Whatever he is, he has a gun in his paws, and I hope you're feeling lucky.

The rain effect is very realistic, and quite stunning. I'm also very impressed with the glass, and chrome on the car.
Speaking of the car, it may as well be a photograph, and not a drawing! The lighting effects are also very well done, and impressive.
The character himself is well drawn, and proportioned. The pose is good, although I wouldn't have known he had a gun in his hands if you hadn't said it. The face and head seem a little "cartoony" compared with the realism of the rest of the image though. The wrinkles on the clothing are either an impressive level of detail, or I'm really not sure. I'm banking on detail.
Very impressive, overall!

Very nice piece. I have to say I've seen a definite improvement in your work since I started watching you.

One thing I'd say you could improve is highlight/shadow contrast. There could be more of a difference between the value of the specular highlights (i.e. beads of water) and everything else. Also, the tires need some treads on them.

Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing where else you carry your work.

Most excellent! But you already know my opinion, don't you? I'm honored to have gotten a sneak-peek ;P

He does look like a shady character... But appearances can be deceiving...

Thanks a lot! =)

Even more contrast? Wow lol, that was something I was trying to do in this. :XD: I see what you mean though.

And I added some tire treads for ya. Didn't know you could see them. :XD: My monitor settings must be way different.

Well.. I think he looks kinda like villain. You know, he's in the dark and at some abandoned place with gun. But I can be wrong of course.

Incredible and glorious.
His right arm is the only thing that catches my eye slightly negatively, but everything else is absolutely superb.
Your work on the car and maintaining of its accuracy in shape amazes me. It looks both beautiful and haunting in this light, with this character leaning against it, so mysterious and potentially threatening. The dark markings under his eyes pull this feeling off really brilliantly, too, mixed with that posture.
You've done great on the anatomy here, too. Everything looks so proportional and.. real.. very natural too.. aside from that arm, but that could just be me.
Also, the rain is a very, very nice touch.:aww:
