Figured I'd do one more Redwall fanart before I started doing all the contest pictures and stuff on my to-do list. Currently reading Mattimeo, and decided to do some fanart.
This is the scene where Slagar starts his "performance." His cape does look rather shiny, but that is purposely, because in the book he used it to almost hypnotize onlookers. I figured the shine would help rather than looking dull.  Also tried out a fur texture, which worked quite well for this situation. Does it look good? I am quite happy with this pic.  Only improvement I can see is making his face more visible. But unfortunately the lighting sources I provided didn't quite allow that.Enjoy! Comments FIRSSSSSSSST.

  Oooh... that's quite nice. Again, I love the detail you put into the grass.
 And the fur looks great from here. Nice work. ^_^ -- If you genuinely wish to help others, you tell them the truth.  Like the cape....although he should probably be careful not to set his tail on fire...
-- FOR (picture[1]) to (picture[++]) do; Quality(picture++) -> Quality(picture[1])/6 + Quality(picture[++-1]); UNTIL Quality -> "Unbelieviably awesome"  I dunno, the fact that you can't see his eyes adds to the creepiness. (except for maybe... ooh! Perhaps his eyes are reflecting that green light but you can't really see them otherwise! That'd be creepy too...) The fur texture looks great here, and since his cape is supposed to be silk or summat I think the shine is A-OK.
I'm glad to see you trying different directions for light sources, and I'd call this a success. I especially appreciate that slight backlighting from the moon, to show what his fur color actually is in not-green light. It looks very nice, sir. -- "I look at animation as a gift from God.
